What Is Botox ?
Botox® is a prescription product, primarily noted for its anti-ageing abilities. Botox® is made up of a toxin called botulinum toxin A, which is used to temporarily prevent muscles from moving. It blocks chemical signals from the nerves, primarily those signals that cause muscle contraction. At Euphoria Medical Center©, we use Botox® to reduce and treat facial lines and wrinkles.
BOTOX

At Euphoria, we focus on the following treatments:

Forehead Botox® – The forehead is one of the most commonly treated areas, which frequently wrinkles the muscles we use when expressing emotions.

Glabella – The Glabella is the fancy name given to the space between your brows. Over time, a deep and prominent line may appear. Brow Botox® wrinkle injections can be used to lift the brow area by the administration of Botox® in key areas, which relaxes the muscles used when you frown.

Botox® for the Nose – When you smile repeatedly over time, creases form on the bridge of the nose near the tear duct of the eye. We can relax the muscles in this region of your face to reduce how prominent these lines can appear.
The Botox Treatment
In order for a muscle to move, a neurotransmitter needs to signal that muscle to move. Botox® inhibits the muscle from moving by depleting that neurotransmitter. Preventing your muscles from moving reduces the wrinkles created by certain facial expressions. The Botox® treatment procedure is as the follows:
Before the procedure you may wish for the area to be numbed beforehand. You may be advised on topical anesthesia or ice to reduce the discomfort. During your procedure, our specialists will start by discussing the details and the steps they will take, prior to commencing. Following this, the areas will be marked up and Botox® injections will be administered using fine needles.
