What is Laser Hair Removal?

Laser hair removal works by using a laser light to target the hair follicle. This energy causes the hair follicle to become damaged, and then destroyed. This prevents the follicle from being able to produce further hairs. The hair follicle will absorb the intense beam of light that is delivered by the laser. Despite this, the tissue surrounding the area will remain unaffected. The term for this procedure is ‘selective photothermolysis’. It is selective because only the hair is targeted and not the skin.

The Laser Hair Removal Treatment

At Euphoria Medical Center, we offer a range of the most advanced laser hair removal treatments to suit all hair and skin types and colors, allowing even darker complexions to enjoy a permanent reduction to hair regrowth. During the procedure, light pulses are used to penetrate the skin and heat the hair follicles, effectively damaging the surrounding tissues to prevent growth.

All patients are required to attend a thorough consultation and skin analysis with our skin specialist prior to organizing any treatments. Not only will this allow us to assess the condition of the unwanted hair and recommend the best course of treatment, but patients will be able to ask any questions they may have to feel totally at ease with their bespoke treatment plan.
